The mission of the Department of Television, Cinema and Visual Arts is to raise a new generation of media professionals in Central Asia.
Established in 2016, we are one of the American University of Central Asia’s youngest departments. We have a close working relationship with our parent department, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, which is one of our university’s oldest and most prestigious departments.
This video is the compilation of the works of the students who took part in the “Explore Animation” workshop held on 6-12 November, 2017 by Michael Lebedev, organized by Television, Cinema and Visual Arts department of the American University of Central Asia. Enjoy! 😉

One of our key areas of focus is Internet-based platforms and techniques for storytelling, education and news, as well as other creative and professional activities.
You will be taught how to convey and persuade — how to not only show the perspectives of others to diverse audiences, but to really get audiences inside the worldview of others.
You will also be taught how to produce powerful multimedia products for a diverse range of potential employers, including marketing and advertising agencies, film studies, radio stations, online platforms, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and beyond.
Our graduates can continue their studies at Master’s and Doctoral programs in universities in the United States, Europe and Asia. They can launch their own start-ups or non-profit projects, or pursue their own creative passions.
